Mechanical Technician
Qualified to journeyman level with a technology diploma/certificate from a recognised institution. Minimum of 10 years experience, of which at least 5 years should be post trade, in a maintenance role in a petrochemical process plant. A strong focus on safety is paramount and practical know-how of permit to work systems and lock out procedures applicable to LNG/petrochemical plants is required. Familiar with, and experienced in, working with H2S rich processes. Extensive experience and knowledge in the trouble-shooting, maintenance, overhaul and commissioning of gas turbines (GE frame 6 and/or 7), gas compressors, dry gas seals, centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, process valves, blowers, conveyor belt systems, v-belt drives, pressure vessel and heat exchangers.
