Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator supervises and coordinates all activities at the Water Taxi (WTS) ferry terminal. That includes overseeing the boarding and disembarking of passengers on the ferries, and assisting in the efficient scheduling of the vessels. Additionally, the Logistics Coordinator ensures that all terminal activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, within corporate policies and procedures and governmental regulations.

Main Responsibilities

• Effectively supervise terminal operations while ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations.

• Schedule manpower requirements to safely and efficiently manage the facility at lowest possible cost level.
• Assist in coordinating ferry scheduling.
• Ensure that appropriate health and safety regulations are followed. Supervise all facility management and maintenance issues.
• Liaise with sub-contractors to deliver a high quality delivery of service.
• Assist in sourcing all services related to the terminal operations.
• Assist in coordinating services for water, fuel, waste removal and power connections.
• Assist in coordinating the concessions, janitorial services, security services and parking facilities.
• Liaise with other terminal service providers on the Port of Spain to coordinate the safe provision of the water taxi service.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

• Higher education (marine, engineering) or equivalent through experience.

• At least 5 years experience in maritime operations; field knowledge of terminal operations is a definite plus.
