Employment Opportunities for Offshore Drilling Personnel
EOG Resources Trinidad Limited (EOGRTL) invites applications from suitably qualified nationals of Trinidad and Tobago to fill drilling vacancies to work on assignment during Jack Up drilling activities scheduled to begin in mid-November 2009. EOG is one of the largest and most successful independent exploration and production companies in the US with a major position offshore Trinidad, operating four blocks and eight platforms off the South East Coast of Trinidad. The vacant positions offer the potential for working locally with a leader in innovative and efficient drilling operations.
Applicants are asked to note that the positions are of a temporary nature for a period of approximately six (6) months and will be based in Port of Spain with assignments offshore Trinidad.
Drilling Engineer
Responsibilities
The Drilling Engineer will be responsible for the development of well design programs for both development and exploration wells. The successful candidate will also assist the Drilling Superintendent in the planning and selection of materials and services required to deliver the well plan in a safe and efficient manner.
The position will primarily be an office-based job with some offshore time required during critical operations. This position requires interaction with the well team, including, working closely with geology and reservoir engineering disciplines.
Qualifications and experience

• Candidates are required to have an undergraduate degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 20 years “hands-on” experience in planning casing design, implementation of drilling programs and detailed bid preparation and evaluation.
• Prior experience with deep, HTHP offshore drilling.
