My post-graduate study investigated the uptake and depuration of domoic and its impact on aquaculture. While working in the Environment Canada Toxicology Laboratory under Dr. Ken Doe I developed test procedures for marine sediments, maintained equipment, designed test systems and conducted quality assurance. I am familiar the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA), Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA), and other environmental regulations governing dumping and disposal of waste. Our team at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans under Dr. Kenneth Lee (head of the Centre for Offshore Oil and Gas Environmental Research) collaborated with individuals and groups from national and international organizations for applied research on bioremediation, mitigation, and monitoring of oil and gas spills. The work was closely associated with the development of regulations governing the oil and gas industry nationally (focusing on the Fisheries Act) and internationally (with respect to IMO).

In addition to office administrative experience (and working with the public), I have extensive practical computer knowledge of Windows and DOS, and am experienced in computations, researching information (publications, the web, interviews), data entry/reduction and analysis.
