I am a twenty year old affable young woman, who has just, at the University of the West Indies, successfully completed reading for a Bachelors of Science Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. I have previously achieved an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Hospitality Management from the Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute. While at that institution, I gained valuable practical and work experience through various courses and mandatory internship periods. At U.W.I., I was exposed to management theories and practices, which has broadened my scope of thinking by allowing me to now apply my knowledge to different work experiences.
My passion for information technology in its various capacities, results in a natural ability to produce innovative creations using Microsoft Office Applications. Being awarded the Best Information Technology Student upon graduating from A.S.J.A Girls College San Fernando has been one of my greatest accomplishments to date. Business Management is seemed to be imbedded in my blood as there was never a doubt in my mind as to which career path I would choose.
My Events Management skills flourished through my responsibilities as Events Coordinator of the St. Pauls’ Anglican Church Young People for Christ, where I was responsible for planning various annual events including; Christmas Dinner, Car Wash and the greatly anticipated Parish Breakfast Sale. As I became a senior member of the church’s Altar Servers Guild, my leadership and organizational skills developed when I was charged with the duty of training all incoming members in the routines of their various posts and developing monthly rosters covering each mass.
My charismatic personality is a testimony to my ability to be a team player and/or leader where necessary. I have been described by my peers as “an outgoing, intelligent and assiduous young lady who has a vision and a purpose for her life”.
