EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FROM SUITABLY QUALIFIED PERSONS FOR TEH FOLLOWING POSITIONS FOR TEH PROJECT INTEGRATION TEAM IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS:

IT SPECIALIST (IT PLANNING)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assists with the development and management of the strategic information systems planning process.
2. Undertakes environmental scanning.
3. Lead the activities in the collection of business requirements and direct the development of business solutions.
4. Plan and/or documents IT projects.
5. Establish benchmarks by which benefits can be delivered and measured.
6. Optimizes the timing of the release of project deliverables to the business operations.
7. Evaluates existing equipment, systems and needs.
8. Ensures and manages the utilization, maintenance, availability, security, integrity and access to the IT systems.
9. Represents the Ministry of Finance and develops professional relations at internal and external IT fora.
10. Participate in monitoring project quality and quality improvements.
11. Recommend alternative solutions, raise project issues and risks as well as quality and scope deviations.
12. Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
The incumbent must be able to demonstrate:

1. A Bachelors Degree in Management or an Information Technology related field from a recognized university.
2. Working experience of not less than five (5) years in IT Planning or IT Project Management.
3. Proven leadership, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
4. Postgraduate qualification in Information Systems Planning would be an asset.
