SENIOR FOREIGN EXCHANGE/MONEY MARKET DEALER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attain profitability targets in foreign exchange dealing using spot and forward transactions both against TT dollars and between foreign currencies.
  • Pro-actively market and promote within guidelines, all major currencies, with a primary focus on sourcing currency supplies in keeping with department strategy.
  • Development long-term and profitable client relationships by satisfying their needs through superior customer service and competitive pricing in all treasury products.
  • Participate actively in the local money markets to address the Bank’s funding requirements as directed by the Liquidity and Funding Manager.
  • Work in conjunction with the Chief Dealer, to produce individual marketing and customer-targeting plans; and to develop strategies for new business opportunities which may require extensive travel.
  • Provide effective supervisions by guiding, coaching and councelling subordinate staff and contributing to their professional development.
  • Maintain up to date market intelligence of local, regional and international developments which may affect treasury products.

EDUCATION:

  • A degree/qualification in finance
  • (A background in economics would be an asset)

EXPERIENCE/SKILL SET:

  • Minimum 3 years dealing experience
  • Strong business and profit orientation
  • Customer focused and service oriented
  • Practical knowledge of banking operations
  • Knowledge of the principles of market risk management
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and other relevant software
  • Superior written, oratory, and inter-personal skills
  • Excellent marketing/sales skills
  • Multitasking skills
  • Self motivated
  • Team player
