The South-West Regional Health Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following positions:
SENIOR AUDITOR (SYSTEMS)
The Senior Auditor (Systems) is required to supervise the operational and personnel activities ofthe Internal Audit Department and assist in the assessment of the efficiencies and effectiveness of systems of internal control in the various departments of the Authority to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles "GAAPs" as well as Operational and Management Policies.
The incumbent evaluates the effectiveness of all Operating Systems in the Authority and develops and schedules audit plans and programs to be used by Audit Assistants, using a risk-based auditing methodology. He/she also supervises, monitors and administers audit assignments for junior staff and advises and assists in the interpretation and explanation of Audit Recommendations.
REQUIREMENTS AND TRAINING:
- A Degree in Accounting and/or must be pursuing the final stage of a professional program (ACCA). Training as evidenced by the completion of CIA or ACCA would be an asset.
- At least five (5) years' working experience, two (2) years' of which must be in Auditiing.
- Experience in a computerized environment.
- Extensive knowledge of International Auditing Standards.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Possess analytical skills.
- Leadership and motivation skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to supervise and train employees.
- Ability to organize priorities and schedule work assignments.
