Contract Positions

The Ministry of Education is engaged in the roll out of a comprehensive Information and Communications Technology (ICT) strategy and plan for the Ministry and its Schools. An exciting opportunity exists for managers / ICT professionals to join our team. Applications are therefore invited to fill the following positions, on contract, for a period of three years. An attractive compensation package and other terms and conditions are being offered.

ONE (1) MANAGER ICT INFRASTRUCTURE

JOB SUMMARY:-
The Manger ICT Infrastructure will lead a team responsible for management of incidents, changes, configuration, and availability of the Ministry of Education’s ICT infrastructure.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-

• Provides and enforces best practice guidance in ICT Infrastructure Management to ensure optimum ICT capabilities in support of the goals of the goals of the Ministry of Education strategy.
• Monitors trends in both national and international ICTs.
• Assists in the development of ICT infrastructure policy in relation to Government’s national development objectives and its national connectivity agenda.
• Creates and maintains vendor relationship to stay abreast of technology and maximize opportunities for utilizing these technologies and creating a competitive advantage.
• Conduct performance reviews and career development planning for staff.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:-

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to ICT, MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or other appropriate professional qualifications.
• Specialist knowledge and extensive experience in the ICT infrastructure.
• At least five years experience in managing teams in a fast-paced project setting.
• Practical experience in policy development and project management in the areas of e-Government and/or public sector reform.
• Experience in the development of Infrastructure Management policies would be an asset.

• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
