The organisation invites suitably qualified persons to submit applications for the following position:

MANAGER INFRASTRUCTURE AND CONSTRUCTION

Reporting to the Vice President Capital Projects, the Manager Infrastructure and Construction ensures that the Infrastructure and Construction Department contributes positively to the success of the organisation by ensuring that the design, development and execution of works for e Teck’s new Industrial Parks and Tenant Facilities are up to e Teck’s standard.

He/She provides a range of technical, administrative, supervisory and mentoring services that ensure internal and external client needs are met and development projects are delivered within cost, quality and scheduled targets. The position manages human, financial and material resources to meet department objectives. It complies with company policies and procedures and relevant engineering codes of practices, safety and environment standards in the conduct of its work. The incumbent is expected to exercise strong initiative, possess good managerial capabilities and be able to sustain strong stakeholder relations and gain timely statutory approvals.

Minimum Acceptable Academic/Technical/Professional Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
• Post graduate qualification in Engineering or Project Management
• Computer Literate with intimate knowledge of Microsoft Project and AutoCAD
• PMP Certification
• Knowledge of Building and Infrastructure Construction Codes and Practices

Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience

• Ten (10) years experience in a similar managerial position with a minimum of six (6) years experience in development of industrial infrastructure
