The North West Regional Health Authority (NWRHA) a dynamic organization and one of the leading Health Care Institutions with responsibility for the management of the Port-Of-Spain General Hospital, St. James Medical complex, St. Ann’s hospital and 17 Health Centres throughout St. George West and St. George Central is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified individual and experienced person for a rewarding career in the health sector for the following positions:

HAEMATOLOGY (Part-time Consultant)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To administer medical treatment to patient at a hospital or designated institution
• To direct and supervise the work of junior medical officers and other clinical staff in administration of medical treatment to patients and serve as a consultant as required.

APPLICATIONS MUST POSSESS:

• Training as evidenced by the possession of a medical degree from a recognized school of medicine supplemented by the possession of a recognized specialist qualification
• Extensive knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of modern developments in the specialist field
• Knowledge of the administrative practices and procedures, rules, policies and standards related to the particular unit of the Hospital or institution
• Registration with the Medical Board of Trinidad and Tobago as a Medical Practitioner and as a Specialist in the relevant field
• Minimum of five (5) year’s experience in the Specialist field and eight (8) years’ post graduation
