Methanex Trinidad Limited operates two methanol plants, Titan and Atlas, on the Point Lisas Industrial Estate, Trinidad. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Methanex Trinidad is seeking to appoint suitably qualified nationals to the following positions:
SITE SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER
This position provides Mechanical Engineering/Project Management leadership for the overall site. The job is expected to greatly assist the organization in the ongoing safe, reliable and cost effective production of methanol.
Responsibilities:
- Provides support in the execution of major projects for Manufacturing.
- Develops global project management best practices working in conjunction with Project Managers from other Methanex sites.
- Researches and writes all procedures that relate to management of change, document management and engineering drawings.
- Reviews and provides feedback on all Health & Safety procedures in the company and reviews maintenance-initiated technical procedures.
- Provides support in maintaining MOC database and assists in planning, prioritization and execution of jobs in database.
- Defines work processes by writing relevant MOC Engineering procedures, performing audits and procedure/work process updates.
- Provides engineering expertise in the areas of rotating and static equipment and project management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc. Engineering with a minimum of ten (10) years maintenance experience in a process plant environment, five (5) of which should be in a leadership position.
- Management and Business Administration training evidenced by post graduate qualifications would be an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of Engineering codes and standards.
- Project Management certification (e.g. PMI) would be an asset.
- CMMS Training – MAXIMO or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Intimate knowledge and understanding of HSE laws, policies and standards.
