COSTAATT invites suitably qualified persons to apply for the following vacant position in the Department of Technology Services (Port-of-Spain and Tobago):

COMPUTER MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:

• Receive requests for IT services, compile information, determine necessary action and inform appropriate end users to ensure timely application of solutions.

• Serve as the first line IT support person for all hardware systems, multimedia resources and software components.
• Provide assistance to students, faculty and staff in connecting to and using microcomputer systems and network resources.
• Provide users with continuous feedback with respect to their issue(s).
• Perform necessary record keeping for support systems and job tickets.
• Record and escalate all aforementioned issues to the relevant technical resources, including System Administrators, Network Administrators, Information Security and Programmer/Analysts etc, if necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Person
The ideal candidate must have:

• Certification in A+ and Network+.

• 5 GCE/CXC O’Level General passes including Mathematics and English.
• A minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar capacity
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management skills.
