SFCCU Credit Union Co-operative Society Limited has three (3) strategic positions for individuals who can look into the environment and position the organization to achieve its goals and objectives. Ideal candidate must be qualified, experienced, energetic and mature to join our dynamic fast pace organization. CREDIT SUPERVISOR

Job Summary:
This person is expected to manage and co-ordinate the activities of the Credit Department. The candidate must be able to work closely as a team with the General Manager, Finance & Operations Manager and Staff.

Summary Of Duties & Responsibilities

• To provide the provision of prompt, efficient courteous service to members and the public.

• To market the Credit Union’s Services and Products to satisfy our members’ needs.
• To encourage new membership and wealth creation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
• To perform credit risk analysis on pending loan applications.
• To ensure that proper documentation of loan applications with its appropriate recommendation are duly set for the approval by the Credit Committee.
• To obtain and appraise all appropriate security documents and authorization prior to loan disbursement.
• To approve share withdrawals and journal vouchers as delegated by the General Manager or his/her designate.
• To interview and provide financial counseling to members.
• Manage credit portfolio.
• To provide coaching for loans officer.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Training Required

• A First Degree in Finance, Accounting or Management or a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

• At least five (5) years credit granting experience at a in a credit union, banking or financial environment.
• Experience in recoveries management and collection procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal, team building and customer relations skills.
• Excellent decision making, numeric and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a computerized environment.
• Working knowledge of CUMIS or IBOS will be an asset.
• Any suitable combination of qualifications and experience will be considered an asset.
