VACANCIES
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is mandated to provide water and wastewater treatment for Trinidad and Tobago. We are seeking to complement the Internal Audit division with the following professionals.
AUDIT ENGINEER
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Identifies and evaluates risks and internal controls relating to procurement to verify compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures
- Designs and performs audit procedures; develops criteria for audit; analyzes and documents processes
- Assists manager in identifying risks in project and contract management processes, evaluating and producing objective reports for improvements
- Ensures compliance with health, safety and quality control in construction activity
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Civil/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering degree from a reputable university and a related professional certification
- Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience
- At least three (3) years experience in a state owned utility would be an asset
- Post graduate experience in quality engineering, inspection, project management and contract administration will be an asset.
- Full time experience in compliance projects with exposure to quality control and ISO audits.
